St. Seraphim of Veritsa

I have always been drawn to St. Seraphim of Sarov – as are many in the Orthodox Churches with descent from the Russian Orthodox Church.

I had never heard of St. Seraphim of Veritsa, who was glorified in 2000 by the Church in Russia(Moscow Patriarchate). When I read this in HandmaidLeah’s blog (Christ is in Our Midst!) I was moved to tears.

Since writing this, Handmaid Leah has either changed the URL OR taken down the post. So I shall reference St. Seraphim of Viritsa as found on the Orthodox Christian Information Center website.
