Please consider a donation, however small, to PAALS – a 501(c)3 charitable organization. It trains and provides (mainly mobility) service dogs for individuals with varying abilities.
Right now, it is working to match and train a service dog for me and my needs.
My part of the bargain is to raise awareness and get sponsorship and donations to the tune of at least $7000.00. (Yes, the decimal point is in the right place.)
They will accept donations in kind as well as $$ donations.
A way to support them is to use GoodSearch when you are searching the internet for a product or service you intend to purchase.
Certain merchants donate a % of any purchases into charitable organizations when you use GoodSearch to get there. Places like Target, Best Buy, Overstock.com, Walmart and Macys (to name just a few) are involved. Enough people each specifying PAALS on their search, and purchasing a small item with a tiny percentage for PAALS can add up over time. One organization earned over $8000 through GoodSearch.
This way, you can do your Valentine’s Day / Mother’s Day, etc shopping via the internet, have your purchases delivered to your house, and you’ve made a contribution to a wonderful organization – and helped me out while you were at it!
Thanks for listening – and for acting!!

If you decide to donate, please, please note on your donation or on your check that your contribution is “For Elizabeth Riggs’ dog.” This is a very worthy cause.
